Jayne-Anne Gadhia, the chief executive of Sir Richard’s Virgin Money, has resigned as a director of Sentebale to concentrate on the restoration of Northern Rock. Sir Richard Branson brought the failing bank  in the hopes of getting it on track and Gadhia will now be focusing her efforts on the formerly state-owned Northern Rock.

 

Gadhia had been a Director for Sentebale for 3 years. Her departure is just the latest in several changes on the board since the first full time Director Kedge Martin was appointed in 2009

 

Larry Hirst, a former chairman of IBM, joined the board in August , along with Nigel Cox a former audit manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers. The appointments came after Martin took the unusual step of occupying one of the vacant seats on the board while retaining her role as the charity’s boss. Her move followed the resignations of two directors, less than a year after Sentebale lost its executive chairman, Charles Denton.
